This year we sent two teams to Upton Shield, a junior hiking competition that was held near Durbanville. The teams had lots of fun, spending the day in stunning weather hiking around Meerendal Wine Estate attending various bases to complete tasks to earn points. Congratulations to our teams for coming 21st and 26th out of 67 teams! A great effort, especially considering that this was the first Upton Shield for most of the boys who went. It definitely bodes well for next year, and thanks to all the scouts who competed and parents who lifted.
